Amaechi Muonagor, a renowned Nollywood star and beloved figure in comedy, has passed away at the age of 61, according to a relative who informed the BBC. Reports from local media indicate that he passed away on Sunday as a result of kidney failure, having been undergoing dialysis treatment.

Confirming the sad news to BBC News Pidgin, the actor's cousin, Tony Muonagor, also known as Tony Oneweek, shared the details of his death. Just last week, Mr. Muonagor had made a plea on social media, seeking financial support to cover the expenses of a kidney transplant abroad.
